Age Calculator
Enter a date of birth to get an exact age in years, months and days, plus total weeks, days and hours lived and a countdown to the next birthday.
How age is calculated
The calculator counts complete years first, then complete months, then the remaining days. Someone born on June 15, 1990 is 36 years, 4 months and 8 days old on October 23, 2026. When the day of the month has not been reached yet, one month is borrowed and the days of the previous month are added, exactly like you would on paper.
Age on a specific date
Change the second date to find an age in the past or future: your age on a wedding day, how old a child will be on September 1 for school entry, or the age of a person on the date of a document. This is useful for forms, eligibility rules and family history research.
Born on February 29?
In non-leap years, the calculator places the next birthday on March 1, the most common convention for leap-day birthdays.

FAQ
How do I calculate my exact age?
Subtract your birth year from the current year, then subtract one if your birthday has not happened yet this year. For months and days, the calculator does the borrowing for you.
How many days old am I?
Enter your date of birth and today’s date. The total days line shows exactly how many days you have lived.
Can I calculate age at a past or future date?
Yes. Change the “Age on this date” field to any date after the birth date.
Does the calculator store my birth date?
No. Calculations run in your browser and nothing you type is saved.
