Hours Worked Calculator
Enter start and end times for each day, subtract unpaid breaks, and get your total hours, overtime and gross pay for the week.
How hours are counted
For each day the calculator takes end time minus start time, then subtracts your break in minutes. Night shifts that pass midnight are handled automatically. Totals are shown both in decimal hours (37.5 h) and hours and minutes (37 h 30 min).

Overtime in Canada
Overtime rules are set by each province. Ontario requires 1.5x pay after 44 hours a week, Quebec after 40 hours, British Columbia after 8 hours a day or 40 a week, and Alberta after 8 hours a day or 44 a week. Federally regulated employers follow the Canada Labour Code (after 8 hours a day or 40 a week). Set the threshold that applies to you. Read how to calculate hours worked and overtime.
